This page gives useful information about various programs that are not as accessible as they could be. It also contains information about those alternative choices that people with visual limitations can use instead. Choices that are not as good include Quicken upgrades from 2003 and Comoto firewall. Possible replacements include Talking Check Book and AVG. Hopefully, programs that give a current challenge will improve in time. For those programs that are doable, hopefully, they will remain that way. People with visual challenges deserve the same benefits to computer software programs as their sighted counterparts.

Firewalls:
Comodo Free Firewall version 3.0 This program is accessible with JAWS 9.0, sort of. While installing it, turn your JAWS cursor on and the JAWS cursor will read the screens to you as you are going along. Then the PC cursor will tell you what button it is on.
There is a pop up window that comes up on the lower right side of the screen to alert you when something is trying to access the internet. JAWS may say something like "desktop". Then if you alt tab JAWS will tell you it is there. At that point you can tab through it to find out what it says. If you go into the actual interface, which you can get to by going to Start Menu, All Programs, you will have to go into your JAWS cursor to navigate those. You can, however, navigate the menus with no problem.
This program will sync between the Google Calendar, Outlook 2003, 2007, and Outlook Express. It will sync contacts, calendar, notes, tasks, etc. It does work with JAWS. It will also sync between computers on your network via a USB drive, an FTP folder, or a shared folder on your network. I used the USB drive and had no problems.
This program does work with JAWS, and will sync between Yahoo Calendar, Contacts, Notes, etc with Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express. However, it will *not* sync with Outlook 2007.
